The Celtic queen Budika rules the Iceni people with her husband Prasutagus. When he was betrayed and murdered by Rome, Budika's kingdom was left without an heir and the Romans seized their lands and property. Driven to madness and determined to avenge the death of her husband and daughters, Budika unites the tribes of the region and begins an epic war against the powerful Roman Empire.
